The snow was less than awesome, but my crash down Olympic sure was

The PD and I drove up late on Thursday in order to get an early start on the slopes. After a long wait at Jack in the Box, we ended up getting one of the last parking spots at Snow Summit. We will have to get up a little earlier next time if we want to avoid the long walk.

But, overall, the weather, snow and crowds were all perfect. In addition, we got off the mountain soon enough to avoid the traffic home.

We went out in search of the rumored Yellowtails that were biting like crazy off of La Jolla. We set off at about 6 AM. We didn’t catch anything, nor did we see anyone catching anything. We did, however, experience rain, wind, large choppy swells and a surf that capsized our kayak, twice. And it was cold.

"What are the first stages of hypothermia?"
